Emerson spends 125m euros to build five plants in Cluj

The Emerson group, dealing in engineering services, will invest up to 125 million euros in building five plants in the industrial park Tetarom III in Cluj. The company officials estimate the whole project to be completed within four years at the most, investment initially scheduled to be conducted over five years.

The plants in Cluj will work both for clients in Europe and the Middle East, with a number of employees to reach around 2,000 when the project in Cluj will start operating at full capacity. "The construction of the third plant will take around 10 months, with the biggest division of this new facility being dedicated to electric equipment for hazardous environments. This division is already present in Cluj, and they currently intend to expand," said Calin Banciu, general manager of Emerson Romania.
