Euros

Romania and Bulgaria will receive European funds worth 262 million Euros over a period of six years to promote economic, social and environmental cooperation between the regions, Public Works Minister Laszlo Borbely has stated. The communities and authorities located in the border region will receive the greatest benefit.

Of the total amount allotted to Romania and Bulgaria, 217.82 million Euros represent the contribution from the European Regional Development Fund and 44.17 million Euros are provided by the two countries.

The official release of the program foregoes the first reunion of the common monitoring committee slated for March and the first open bid for projects to take place in April.
