A new railway line from Otopeni Airport to Gara de Nord - Bucharest – duration time - 45 min

CFR Calatori (Romanian Railway Company for Passengers) is opening a new line between Gara de Nord and Otopeni Airport.

“We have already made several trials for the route between Bucuresti Nord-Otopeni and the trip will take of 40-45 minutes. It is not a solution on long term, but it is a viable one and it doesn’t need any investment” Transport Minister - Radu Berceanu stated.

The train will leave from Gara de Nord to the nearest point to Otopeni Airport, on the railway 700, that links Bucharest to Galati; from that point a bus will collect the passengers for Otopeni Airport –Terminal, the cost being included in the train ticket.

At the Otopeni Airport passengers would be able to buy train tickets for any routes from the special CFR tickets point.
