Newly created companies with foreign share capital rose 29.1% in 2007

The number of newly established companies having foreign share capital grew by 29.1% in the first eleven months of 2007, according to the Romanian Agency for Foreign Investments (ARIS).
More than 48,000 jobs were created. Some projects exceeded 100 million Euros, according to ARIS vice president Monica Barbuletiu.
The value of the foreign investment in Romania has been constantly increasing last year, following the country's accession to the European Union. Major players on international markets have been eyeing Romania, as the economy is seen as attractive and stable after the Cabinet introduced the 16 percent flat tax.
